He predicted FIVE years ago this would happen.
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are two more government failures causing us great harm. Bush just made it a larger issue by bailing it out. Our thanks has to go to Unconstitutional Pres. Bush. Ignorance is no excuse!!!
Because of these two GSE (Government Sponsored Enterprises) your fanny and my fanny are in the sling for over 200 Billion dollars of mortgage bailouts. You and I are now in the mortgage business. Hows it feel?
The person who had predicted that this would happen was Ron Paul.
We had an opportunity to choose a man/candidate with such economic knowledge and Constitutional awareness that I just can't believe that so many "Americans" couldn't see his value. Yes, the MSM and "conservative" pundits such as Gary Bauer, Medved, Savage, Ingrahm, the list goes on, did their job in orchestrating smears with misinformation and/or disinformation. Now we're about to elect McCain who admits he's stupid when it comes to the economy (or worse Obama). People this nation needed someone with this knowledge or better yet a respect for the Constitution. Neither one of the two major candidates have the respect of the Constitution which now would help us the most. McCain, Obama, nor Huck-a-bee have this understanding. I say Huckabee too because there are so many out there yet dreaming of him in the office, gag. Feelings lead to bad decisions.
The candidates in the primary most endowed in the Constitution and Economics were Mitt'nFlip and Ron Paul. The evangelical voters still enchanted with guitar plucking Huckabe would have stuck us with a joking ex-pastor as president thinking he would be in charge of tithes and taxes, not knowing the differences of the purposes between the two.
Check this video out which records Glen Beck's interview with Ron Paul yesterday.
Note the quote: "there’s enough unconstitutionality to go around for everyone" - Ron Paul
He's nearly alone in politics, by his speaking the truth.
Here's a video of Chuch Baldwin. Note comment to the Dem and Rep being not two parties but rather "two wings of the same bird of prey".
Have a blessed day.P.S. Ron Paul's press conference. Nope- He didn't endorse McCain.

I agree with the bail-outs. It's appalling. Let them crumble. That's how free enterprise works. As we continue to bail out companies, they are no longer responsible for their own actions. We, the taxpayers are. I purchased my home last year. I had the opportunity to get a sub-prime loan, or an interest only loan. But I'm not a moron. I bought a house I could afford. I make my payments. I'm already ahead and make well below the median income for my area. So my wife, kids, and I live just barely above paycheck to paycheck. I'm not complaining, but I think it's a bit unfair that we have to live like that when we're being responsible and folks who wanted to live beyond their means, and the companies who lent them the money get bailed out.
@grim_truth - Thanks for the comment. Glad you're able to make ends meet. I too started out with a house which we could "afford". Then the market worked out for us. Location location location and made two moves since that first house.
I know there are many who are irresponsible with their money and then they think they should be given breaks because of it. There are some I've heard who have no qualms about taking their government educational grants or loans and use them on vacations.
My child has worked hard in school, received good grades, and is now paying her own way through college. One year left and without the help she's a better person for it.
Thank God for His Blessings
