  • The homosexuals have lost 31 times now. Enough already.

Here is the tally for the victory in Maine.

The people have spoken again, again, and again. Thirty-one times total the people voting "no we don't think it is right". And it isn't.

This time with such force that it was a very hefty victory.

The Governor had signed it into law. The people immediately went into action to overturn it. With one hundred thousand signatures gathered within a very restricted window of time the people got it put onto the state ballot for the PEOPLE to decide.

Now the state wide vote to nail it shut. There were overwhelming advantages on the "same sex" marriage law's side and yet it was defeated. Enough is enough.

    REJECT SAME-SEX MARRIAGE LAW
    Yes 299483 52.81%
    No 267574 47.19%

    Have a blessed day.

  • Our "motion" detector isn't working!

The entire back yard has no nearby lights and is quite dark with woods on the back edge. I cannot see to the woods and my small lamp on the side of the house doesn't help enough to see any better. I can imagine packs of raccoons walking the yard unseen and a deer or two as well. I know the neighbor's have been over also to snatch their dog back to their own yard. All mostly unseen intrusions onto my own property.

There were no harm in those actions. Yet, if a profligate person comes in the night to steal from the home or worse, wouldn't a motion detector in the perimeter help as a defense? Yes, it would. It sheds light upon the evil being done and the perpetrator runs off, for it is written, John 3:20, "for everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed." It is our families' first line of defense if ever needed.

I mounted it and had some initial troubles but it's solid enough for a squirrel to hang from without breaking it. Plenty of them around too. I then put it to the test by challenging my 18 year old son, "IF you can make it from the woods to my back door and knock on the door without lighting up any of the flood lights, I'll give you a five dollar bill." Being a poor college student, the offer was immediately accepted. My entertainment value of five dollars was fulfilled numerous times! He had fun and was rewarded for his success.

Freedom is not available when it's not safe to go outside. Freedom exists when strength is exercised in ridding the areas of darkness. It takes strength and wisdom to get to own property, it also takes strength and wisdom to preserve that freedom to possess it.

HOW are you and I suppose to preserve our freedom? If we do not see the issues in our own back yard how are we going to make sense of what is happening in Washington? There are spiritual battles in high political places. Are we seeing the battle? Tell me, if it is worth putting up a motion sensor in your back yard to preserve your safety and push back the darkness, isn't it worth while also to put some kind of monitor in the halls of Washington?

As the House and Senate convene to make more laws to remove our freedoms, what are we listening to to understand what is being done and I mean being done "to us"? We need a very special "motion" sensor. It has to sense not the physical motion but instead the "intent" of legislation presented by a Senator or Representative. Their "motions" on the floor are a threat to "We the People".

We need a network of people who are sincere, understanding of the battle at hand, brave and strong in many ways. This "liberal motion sensor" has to be mounted inconspicuously on the halls of congress. Right now only the finest liberals are conniving together behind closed doors debating on how to write a bigger and better health care insurance bill. These are the things our motion sensor has to shed its light upon and so bright that it burns the flesh of the perpetrator before he even runs out of the yard or in this case out of congress. Ha, that would be great.

Our current system isn't working. It's like the motion sensor is not set sensitive enough any more and many motions get by us without the light even turning on. The Constitution is the reference point and our "liberal motion" sensor has to be constructed accordingly. There cannot be any flaws in it otherwise it becomes a mere beacon for mosquitoes and moths to flutter against because we'll not be able to rely upon it. Do you know any of those types of non-alarms?

What are the current motion sensors? They are local news stations reporting on cross walks being overly used instead of the real news in our local councils or mayor's office. Talking heads on the major news stations, ABC, MSNBC, Fox... are NOT set for constitutional reference but rather their own agenda, preferences and the UN's. The radio talk show hosts have shot their own good candidates in attempts to preserve their "conservative" movement, what ever that is. What happened to all those promises in 1994?

So, tell me what or who are your motion detectors in Congress? Send me an email or comment below with a few of your "motion detectors" listed.

If you don't have a motion detector, well, what are you waiting for? First, search your bible for understanding and ability to discern that which is running in the darkness. WE THE PEOPLE need to push back the darkness in this land and make Freedom ring again so prosperity may flourish again.

I warned my son, the area he was crawling through seemed to be the area the dog stopped often. Too late, he confirmed it soon afterward. I need to make it that tough for "liberal motions" to get passed this new "motion sensor" in Washington. When that light comes on them shining hard and from many directions I hope to expose all the crap sticking on them as they stand up accused in OUR light of discernment!

Remember this knife fight in "Saving Private Ryan"? I've always thought of the man, with the knife slowly entering his heart, as being America. While, the American citizens are represented by the guy on the steps unwilling to take the risk in saving it. The soldier at the top of the steps at the end of the clip? Please, tell me what or who you think he represents.

    God bless.

    Have a great day!

  • In Memoriam: Christopher J. Klicka

    A message from HSLDA.....

A longtime champion of homeschooling rights around the globe, Home School Legal Defense Association Senior Counsel and Director of State and International Relations Christopher J. Klicka was called home by his Lord on October 12, 2009, at age 48, following a 15-year battle with multiple sclerosis. An attorney, spokesman, lobbyist, and homeschooling husband and father, Chris is survived by his wife, Tracy, their seven children (ages 11–21), and his parents, Ardath and George Klicka.

“Chris was both a people person and a goal person. He cared deeply about people, but was also driven to always do more!” says HSLDA President J. Michael Smith. “He was the most determined person I ever met in my life. Even with all the things he accomplished every day at HSLDA, he continually wanted to tackle new challenges and serve homeschoolers in more and better ways. He was so focused on the homeschooling world, but he was also very much focused on his family and dedicated to raising his children.”

An integral part of Home School Legal Defense Association’s staff for 24 years, Chris was HSLDA’s first full-time employee, first executive director, and first full-time attorney. He believed passionately that homeschooling was the best educational method for children and demonstrated that passion in every area of his life.

Chris and Tracy homeschooled all seven of their children. He traveled across the United States (and around the world) defending families’ right to homeschool and advocating homeschooling. He participated in countless radio interviews on homeschooling issues. He wrote five books on homeschooling, penned numerous articles, and had two more books in progress when he passed away. He lobbied state legislators, U.S. senators, and foreign diplomats to support homeschooling. He sought greater freedom for homeschooling parents and students in every area—from local school districts to sports associations, college admissions departments, and military recruitment requirements. He sought to educate the educators, truant officers, policemen, judges, and even social workers about the benefits and legality of homeschooling.

Even deeper than his passion for homeschooling was his deep love for his Lord. We may never know how many people Chris inspired to homeschool or continue homeschooling, or how many people he inspired to draw near to his Lord.

“Chris’s accomplishments as a lawyer for homeschooling are clear and of value that cannot be overstated. He was one of the most important pioneers of our movement,” says HSLDA Chairman Mike Farris. “He believed that this truly is God’s way to teach children to love God. He believed it deeply. His conviction was infectious. He was a man of single-hearted devotion that I have never, ever seen equaled. The passion that Chris felt for the mission to which God called him never, ever, ever, ever dimmed, even slightly.”

HSLDA deeply appreciates and honors Chris’s life and his dedicated contribution to our organization and to homeschooling. Our staff will miss him more than we can express, and we are praying with and for his family. The homeschooling movement has lost one of its greatest advocates and friends, but Chris leaves an incredible legacy of freedom and awareness of homeschooling to the thousands of homeschooled students whose parents have made The Right Choice.

”I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.“ II Timothy 4:7-8

”Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.“ Revelation 2:10

  • Church compromsing on standards for Society

All must praise God for His goodness, His Law is to be praised above His name.

It is written in Romans, "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections; for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature. And likewise also the men left the natural use of the woman, and burned in their lust one toward another, and man with man wrought filthiness, and received in themselves such recompense of their error, as was meet."

Or, in Leviticus God also tells us, "The man also that lieth with the male, as one lieth with a woman, they have both committed abomination;"

To the people who are unable to see clearly, God has not made His mystery known to mankind. His righteous rule for us and His character have been revealed to us through His scriptures. Consider the many articles today about the homosexual activity in America. Comfort is knowing God is in control of all things and there is goodness in reading his word and sharing it with others. God warns us that the wicked desire to suppress the truth for there is no love of God in their hearts. Their hatred conquers their love and so they seek to scoff at anything which reflects His glory or likeness i.e. His people and their righteous desires.

Looking at a sampling of news lets look at the trends inside and outside the church and compare with the verses we've read above. The Lutheran church once comprised of the ALC, LCA, Wisconsin and Missouri Synods. Two of these have been hanging on to their roots while the other two had left it and merged into the ELCA. The church's role is to hold onto the truth and teach the people, ELCA has decided that marriage is no longer restricted to one man and one woman. This church (homosexual comforter) had planned to vote on allowing the marriage of two men or two women together. The meeting, discussion and voting occurred during an amazingly rare storm and tornado which damaged the convention center and knocked down a cross off the church next door. Minneapolis had not seen a tornado in their midst for many years. Could there really be something God was trying to say during ELCA's convention? I think God works His ways into chastising a people, and this nation has been falling for a long time. ELCA voted to look the other way when it comes to homosexuals being married or leaders in their church, i.e. ministers. Read here for complete voting story. God intervenes?

Now comparing the actions of this ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) with the rest of the society outside of the church. The church validated the sodomy life style and similar actions and chose to comfort them in their sins rather than teaching them God's warnings.

So, how are the actions of this church any different from the actions of a Kevin Jennings school teacher with a child in school? He was "unable" to counsel this youth in the direction he should go. When Jennings was told about an adult and child (man/boy) encounter by the child what did he say to him? Jennings offered the boy advice: "I hope you used a condom.'" Jennings gave him familiarity and comfort in that lifestyle during a time which Jennings should have help him greatly. That boy now a man hostile about this issue now states about his wise counsel recieved, "Were it not for Mr. Jennings' courage and concern for my well-being at that time in my life, I doubt I'd be the proud gay man that I am today."  His councellor Jennings now regrets it but for wrong reasons. Indeed, a sad opportunity lost and yet there is always hope for these two to see the light. But is there hope for a church such as the ELCA which has gone apostate?!

Don't you agree though that the church named ELCA has succommed to the culture and sinfulness of society instead of being that beacon of hope and teaching what is right and wrong. Mr. Jennings isn't just a casual person on some street or in a school somewhere, no its worse. He is head of the Education Department's Office of Safe & Drug Free Schools appointed by our President Obama.  Get rid of him by going here.

Read about the movement to oust this Jennings here.

So, as our schools and churches go, so go our morals and standards. As our morals and standards go, so go our self government. As goes our self government, so go our country's government. I see this nation going down hill into a pit of sin. Repent America! There is always hope!

    Have a blessed day!

  • Clijsters come back to U.S. Open with great play causes character loss for Williams

I have not watched a tennis match for years. I checked this out and I thought it was a well played match by Clijsters. Yet it was a shameful performance by her opponent. I seriously had not ever seen such unsportsman like behavior displayed by that which was displayed by S. Williams, and she calls herself a woman?

Deservedly so, Williams' examples of hostile and out of control emotions were rewarded with defeat, fines (I hope) and embarrassment. She was getting outplayed by Kim Clijsters and when the second set's score was at match point Williams totally  lost all composure.  She smashed her racquet on the ground at one point in the match. Near the end of the match, after a rightly called foot fault, Williams spewed forth vulgarity at the judge that would make a sleazy bar go silent in amazement.

Such profanity coming from a woman or anyone should be shamed by the public and fined by the league. Williams's words were of such vulgarity and so threatening the judge felt that even her life had been threatened.

In total amazement I had watched and then in an after match interview Williams poses herself as a "well behaved" person. Williams said in her postmatch news conference. "So I know you don't believe me, but I used to be worse. Yes, yes, indeed." She apparently knows or has no shame. What a lie she represents and the sports audience should see her for what a she truly is and that is a very unkind, froward and vulgar woman.

Let real champions become champions. Meanwhile, on the other side of the court, the winning side, stands Kim Clijsters looking to end the match most eagerly with her deep and hard hitting returns which were keeping Williams on her heals much of the match. Kim played Williams like a yoyo in some exchanges, and retained great composure through the entire match. She was undaunted by William"s emotional yells, screams and body strength poses of satisfaction after occasional winning shots.  Williams, in the end, was rightly punished for her acts....she was handed a loss. She hopefully will receive disciplining fines for her out of control dirty and threatening mouth.

The questions is this, "Should Williams attempt to redeem herself by publicly apologizing to the judge and the fans for her behavior?" I say, yes. Will she? I would only hope so.

The sports enthusiasts should congratulate Kim Clijsters for her win in the semifinals of the U.S Open. It was done with great style and coming back from two years off for having a child.  Nice come back Kim!

    Have a great day,

  • Honduras, similar to Kenya....being forced into Socialism!

The media supports the movement of Socialism internationaly as well.

I am amazed at many editors' articles about Honduras! They are very good at twisting the events to suit their socialist/communist agendas. They are bringing forth the only idea of supporting democracy and the rule of law in Honduras is agreeing to a bringing back ousted Zelaya and his cronies. These attempts of doublethink are really an insult to the informed readers of the WP.

The desired so called solution of merging a "unity government" under international supervision is a Trojan horse. It seeks to undermind a constitutional government and a free Honduran people.

This "unity government" reminds me of the wicked compromising solution forced upon Kenya during its murderous Odinga campaign in 2007! The U.S. and our state department were also involved in the "international community's" socialist solution after Kenyas free elections. Since the "unity government" installment, we still have not stopped our push of socialism in Kenya.

Honduras is being setup to follow the path of Kenya it seems to me.

Remember this headline? "29 February 2008 – Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki(the goodguy if there is one) and opposition leader Raila Odinga(the badguy definitely) yesterday signed a "power-sharing" agreement to restore peace to a country that has been engulfed by violence since the disputed presidential elections there in December."

This is what I see happening with U.S. forcing socialism upon Honduras. For Kenya, the free elections elected Kibaki (good guy) but this wasn't good enough because the loser (Odinga) decided to go on a  country wide terrorizing rioting spree. With 1300 people murdered, and 300,000 people displaced the turmoil at the grass roots was foistered.  This was the sign that "multi-nationalist" influences again are needed in order to get the country to comply to communist ideals.

See this for Honduras? I do. Shame on the U.S foreign policy and state department. Oh, and guess who, at that time, "vetted" presidential candidate Obama supported during and after Kenya's 2007 elections? Yes, Odinga, assisting back then and now the socialist side of conflicts. Surprised? I'm not, why are you?

How is Obama someone who favors freedom for us when he evidently doesn't support the freedoms of people in other nations?

    Have a blessed day,

    Todd

  • Senator Edward Kennedy dies at age 77

Is this a bad thing? I believe it is in the sense that he did not exhibit the saving knowledge of Christ nor the desire to follow Christ before he died.

It is a good thing because it ends his fight against the freedoms our Constitution aims to protect. God's will be done.

It was questionable if he could even make a difference anymore considering his health and how Obama has prior to Kennedy's health issues become the "higher standard" of representing the ideals of the more extreme liberal or socialist left.

May his family find peace in the Lord

  • Jack Russell, an awesome dog

    Hello,

First off, let me say that I wouldn't trade Jasper's years with us for anything.

I have had a JR for over 13 years now and have to say that I've managed through the many concerns about owning one.

I have not taken him in for training but have done my own, I am the master and he lets me

We have had several small pets i.e. turtles (one died the second time in mouth of Jasper). The child dropped the turtle while sitting and doing home work. Jasper was at his feet apparently waiting? My daughter has had many dwarf hamsters, she dropped one but it was rescued and survived the mouth of Jasper, no casualties.

We also have had a rabbit for nine years. This rabbit (name is Nibbles) actually gets to enter our house to visit us and Jasper twice every day. Both the rabbit and Jasper are free as birds in the kitchen. Both the dog and the rabbit get along. They even have eaten or drank from his dish together. But, if you look real close at Jasper's eyes they wonder a bit and appear tempted by the rabbit to play mostly but that is not allowed either.

My kids were 2, 5 and 8 years old when we purchased him as a pup. The kids were taught to respect Jasper and how to treat dogs. He was good with them, didn't have much problem. The only real problem I have with him is in the car or van, he would attack the doors when ever they were being closed. Wanted to get rid of that bad trait but never pursued it.

Jasper was pretty good with kids, he once took the cracker from my little four year old girl who then turned and with both hands opened his jaws and took it back from him. He lost. He also had been bitten (not real hard) on the nose by my other 3 year old girl, I guess he learned from her too. I was watching around a corner as she put her nose up to his and then, well, showed him who was boss. She use to play tug of war laying on her back and a towel in the dogs mouth. He would drag here across the floor giggling all the way.

Just about everyone says you need a fence if you have a Jack Russell. I've never had a fenced in yard at Jasper's two homes. At the new house it took a little while for him to learn the yard. So, I would walk him about the edges and speak "home" while squeezing the collar as he was allowed to drift cross the line. He has learned the yard rules and he is watched for "any" desire of bolting. I see his brain ticking and firmly say "home" when he gets that "far away look" or is running after one of those nasty teasing squirrels or a wild rabbit. He has been able to terminated his bolt when I yell home. Any chipmunks that run into our rain gutters usually don't have a chance, neither do our gutters. He is a bigger JR weighing in at 20 to 22 lbs.

I've taken him hunting in woods, trails and my basement. He's great at reminding me of the mouse in the trap or getting those mice which had dragged the trap into hiding. He has claimed the lives of a few ground hogs, raccoons, squirrels, chipmunks and mice. He chased a cat across the yard once and the cat stopped and turned to face him, I yelled "leave it" and he let it go. He has such great restraint don't you think?

Many also say that you may need an electric collar/fence. I substituted a weak bb gun for an electric fence (the fence isn't worth the money). For example of how weak a gun, you can see the bb arch its way across the yard tagging him in the butt. He comes at that very moment. When he begins to wonder to the edges of the property, I've only to speak "Home" or shake the bbs in the barrel and he understands. When he's hungry the word "supper time" in a higher voice works too. I think a quick sting to the butt is much better than a jolt of amps to the neck. He is very intelligent and even knows how to position a tree between us to avoid being a target sometimes. Very funny.

At first, I would allow him to sit on the couch or bed the first couple years, but that changed after a while because he started to not wanting to "off" when we would sit down. Authority was reestablished and he learned his place again, no more furniture access.

Currently, because he's getting old and maybe a bit soar, he's been unable to get down the stairs and needs a lift from the family. Just recently going up the stairs is becoming problem also.   He's always been a hunter first and when I release him out the door to keep the squirrels at bay he still makes his run about the yard and then circles the air conditioner for that squeaking chipmunk hiding underneath. A thin pole swept under the air conditioner starts a race to the wood pile, too funny. His legs are just too short to catch anything, usually the quarry has to make a serious mistake to loose its life.

Raccoons were another story, he was protecting the kids one night as they slept out in the back yard. While they were sleeping, he was apparently just watching out through the screen of the tent when he bolted through the same screen door and nailed a raccoon. My daughter came up to my bed at 2:00am and said, "Dad, Jasper has a raccoon in his mouth and won't let it go".  Then, another time, he took care of three raccoons that climbed under our deck. I opened the patio door to let Jasper out and told Anna to listen to what happens. There was a brawl for few seconds when one raccoon left the deck climbed the tree and escaped over the roof to the front yard, another one ran for the backwoods and the third never did made it out. Jasper sat at the end of the deck satisfied but no raccoon near him. I looked and saw it under the deck and told him to go get it for me which he did and laid it before me.

One time, I had let the dog out for his late night duty just before bed. I opened the doors he went out and I closed them to sit down. Then, seconds later I got the scent of a skunk and said, "I better get the dog in here before he finds that skunk".  I opened the door and called him in and he came, I was happy. Happy until I realized after he leaped and walked inside to the family room that the skunk smell had become mighty strong!  He was rubbing his neck on the carpet in the family room when I caught up to him.   I picked him up by the short tail and his collar. Took him out to the shed and had to spend the next couple hours cleaning him up. Meanwhile the wife called a friend to borrow their ozone air cleaner for the house. Used a recipe from the web for skunk odor and tried tomatoes also. We didn't sleep well that night nor for a couple nights later. The dog slept out in the shed for the week. The odor was removed from the carpet and the dog recovered from getting THREE skunk shots.  One to the front and two on the side. He lost that war, he was too close to get sprayed in the face apparently. This experience was not the last time for Jasper and the skunks.  My wife says three, I thought "only" twice. Great dog though.

I made one even bigger mistake. Once I let him follow the kids in some remote woods here in Wisconsin. I was with friends on another path and didn't think, and what happened was he got the scent of a porcupine during our hike at Saddle Point. Yes, he nailed it. Anna came running and said Jasper had something and wouldn't let it go. I ran to check it out and what he had were quills in his mouth and was trying to get them out with his paws, giving the appearance of "having something". I just about decided to put him down right then and there.  He was so struggling about.  I tried tugging on a quill or two but they were not coming out at all and he didn't like it either.  I carried him out of the woods and thankfully phoned and found a place to take him on a Saturday in Wisconsin Rapids, 80 miles away. While I sat with him in the car I had him settled down but there was this fly in the car buzzing around, yes, Jasper was watching it. His head was still but his eyes followed it around until it landed on my lap and at which time he quickly tried to catch it too!  This of course caused him to remember the numerous quills in and about his mouth. Finally, after an interesting and stressful jaunt across Wisconsin we arrived at the vet. She was nice enough to come though the clinic was closed. She, put him to sleep in my arms and then took him into the back room. Half hour and twenty six quills later he was back in my arms groggy and wobbly. Let me tell you the doc did a good job but I removed at least six more quills over the next month and a half. These quills were lodged deep. A couple I found over a week and dug out of the thick furred neck, he wasn't happy about me doing that either. Then as the weeks have gone by, get this, I pulled four more quills after they drifted through his muzzle (to the top). Yes, as what appeared to be an extra black whisker poking through his top muzzle I would pull it the rest of the way through! One quill worked it's way through just under the eye where you would sometimes get a sty, just on the lower lid. It showed up and I looked close and couldn't believe it.  The sharp tip of a quill was sticking out and eighth of an inch, I waited a couple days for it to show up a bit more and pulled it out. He didn't mind it and was quite happy. It was like he was looking through bars and getting out of jail was a good thing. That was the last of the quills.

He does know where there's a badger home and I'm keeping him away from that one.

One thing quite interesting is how you may tell your kids to go to bed and sometimes they grumble a little bit. Well, Jasper is the same way, I tell him to "get to bed" and he slowly walks away growling, and goes up the stairs then stops. When you say "get to bed" again, he barks and growls finishing his trip to one of the bedrooms upstairs. When I wake up he's there ready for a new day.

Being aware of the issues for the Jack Russell breed, I've been able to avoid the issues. I guess because I became aware of them we just worked them out another way.

Jack Russells are a great dog, and to be aware of their intelligence and aggressiveness leads to the ability to deal with them.

I didn't need a fence, worked out the issue of other small pets, and he was great with the kids. Very social dog. Not social with other dogs. More stories there of course.

A picture is attached with Jasper sitting next to me on an old log chair monitoring the yard. File name is "luckydog".

Have a blessed day with a JR,

    Todd H.

P.S. There ain't a "squeaking" dog toy that will last an hour with a JR.

  • Who is displaying their love of freedom?

Great Britain creates a list of people banned from coming into their country. One listed is a radio talk show celebrity, Michael Savage. He is joined on the list of murderers and terrorists. His so called crime is expressing his ideas on the air. I've witnessed him to be an advocate for freedom.

Next, we have the United States revoking visas for some Honduras officials. Their names are Tomás Arita, a Supreme Court justice who signed the detention order that led to Mr. Zelaya’s removal by the military, and José Alfredo Saavedra, president of Congress. There is afoot a desire to squelch the love of freedom in individuals who truly desire to act on their beliefs. Others may just agree or follow along and if the governments target individuals who truly understand and are willing to act on their beliefs we have a major problem. Past governments noted for standing for liberty and justice are now displaying a liking of unscrupulous governments and groups and denying individuals their rights to freedom.

The next example of displaying of their love live in Honduras. Here we have a small and poor nation being oppressed for the action they took against a wanna-be dictator supported by Chevaz in Venezuela. The people involved in Zelaya's deportation were the unanimous vote in the Supreme court, congress and the people of Honduras. Yet Zelaya came crying to the United States because of our socialist values President Obama, oh how our tables have turned. Zelaya has turned in a list of names for Pres. Obama to take political aim against. These people stood against the tyranny of government officials, i.e. their president, desiring to unconstitutionally take control of a free people in Honduras and lead their country to a dictatorship.

The final example I chose are the two representatives from congress who actually went to Honduras and visited the issues in person. They have a report back to Washington scolding our position of supporting Zelaya. The people of Honduras are shocked by the U.S. supporting of Zelaya. I also just recently read and want to include my support of Senator DeMint who also supports freedom by actually doing something which is a dangerous thing to do now days.

I'm thinking that Obama wants to teach the people of Honduras a lesson for their stance against tyranny in the 80's and now. Pray that Obama would be so humble as to turn his favor towards freedom and against Zelaya. We as a nation seem to be able to claim liberty but do we really promote it in other nations? Only by our examples and respect for independence and national Sovereignty will we truly support freedom for other nations.

Just think, while we were celebrating Independence Day, we as a nation were oppressing Hondurans, and continue to do so. So who is loving freedom more? You decide and take action.

    Have a blessed day.

  • Judge Sonia Sotomayor is judged to be NOT qualified

Not qualified for the seat she holds even NOW. She should be removed from the court, not elevated to our highest court in the land.

First off, Pres. Obama made a promise to Planned Parenthood that he would appoint justices who have "the heart, the empathy, to recognize what it's like to be a teen age mom; the empathy to understand what it's like to be poor, or African-American, or gay, or disabled, or old." This is a key statement for us to understand, for it denies the blind or unbiased application of justice.

Days after the anouncement, indicating that it was pretty well known already, Sotomayor's own words revealled a bias in her heart. You know the infamous quote by now. It was not just a rare "bad choice" of words or as Pres. Obmama said, "I’m sure she would have restated it".  Nope, it was repeatedly stated over and over by her. This reveals a judicial temperment that we do not need on any of our courts and questions anyones ability to judge impartially. Sotomayor's temperment has also been described by others as being "a terror on the bench," "overly aggressive-not very judicial," "behaves in an out of control manner...makes inappropriate outbursts," just to name a few.

God commands us to find wise men, with understanding and appoint them judges. They are to judge righteously without respect of persons character, status or race. Hearing the great with the small and without fear of any man (Deut 1:16-17). They are to do NO wrong in their judgements, respecting not the poor nor the person of the mighty. (Lev. 19:15)

The judges are to take two oaths of office:

First, he must swear or affirm that “I will administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and to the rich, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon me … under the Constitution and the laws of the United States. So help me God.”

Second he must swear or affirm that “I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”

A judge is to be wise and understanding. Sotomayor states there is no universal wisdom. This is contrary to human nature. Universally there is common logic and a common law that appeals to all people, it is written in our hearts. God states it in Proverbs 1:20-23. This wisdom comes after one fears God and seeks wisdom through obediance to His word. But, if you reject God and His word, or despise wisdom and instruction, then one becomes a fool, (Prov 1:7). Summarizing this in Prov 16:33, "The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom, and before honor is humility."

Sotomayor doesn't think that the poor or the minorities can get justice unless they are represented by judges who have "experienced" these things. So, you have to have experienced being poor and if your not black you can not judge a black person's plea before the court. This is racist and is contrary to universal wisdom. People came from all around to have Moses judge their cases. They came there because of his Godly "wisdom" not because of his "opinion". He judged impartially, he didn't decide based on experience. If it were simply opinion well then they would simply go to someone else and get another opinion until they got what "they" thought would be in their opinion justice. Moses spent his first 40 years with a silver spoon in his mouth and would not qualify as a justice in Sotomayor's mind.

Sotomayor decisions would differ depending upon sex, race, etc. In the Senate hearings she says one thing to get votes. Here is what she really believes, quoting her, “Whether born from experience or inherent physiological or cultural differences … our gender and national origins may and will make a difference in our judging.” If this is true, that the experiences are "important" to qualify a judge, then lets get to the details of Sotomayor. This is so important as to why a judge has to be impartial and Sotomayor is NOT.

    Here is a great point....

"If so, then why should we believe Judge Sotomayor when she tells us that her “gender” and her “Latina heritage” are the two most prominent determinants that shape her judicial opinions. She is not just a woman, but she is a divorcee and childless. And she is not just a self-described “Latina,” but she is a “Newyorkrican,” that is a “born and bred New Yorker of Puerto-Rican born parents who came to the states during World War II.” And she is a diabetic, and has been since childhood, and was raised by a single mother and whose father died when she was young. If law is nothing more than a judge’s life’s experiences, then shouldn’t Judge Sotomayor open the entire book of her life, including her failed marriage, to Senate scrutiny? How else would a Senator know how to vote on her confirmation?"  -  Herb Titus

Sotomayor does not measure up to be a judge when we use God's word to help us to decide. Herb Titus lays all of the following out where Sotomayor FAILS to qualify to be able to judge righteously in our great land.

    Sotomayor wrongfully believes:

“There can never be a universal definition of wise … I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”

    Sotomayor wrongfully believes:

”’[T]o judge is an exercise of power’ and because there is no objective stance, but only a series of perspectives—no neutrality, no escape from choice in judging. I further accept that our experiences as women and people of color affect our decisions.”

    Sotomayor wrongfully believes:

“Whether born from experience or inherent physiological or cultural differences … our gender and national origins may and will make a difference in our judging.”

    Sotomayor wrongfully believes:

“The aspiration to impartiality is just that—it’s an aspiration because it denies the fact that we are by our experiences making different choices than others.”

    Sotomayor wrongfully believes:

“We … must continue … to figure out how we go about creating the opportunity for there to be more women and people of color on the bench so we can finally have a statistically significant numbers to measure the difference we will and are making.”

In contrast to Sotomayor's embarassing and infamous quote. Former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor who often said that she did not view herself as a female jurist. Instead, she said that a wise old man and a wise old woman would reach the same result as judges.

Sotomayor should not be elevated to this lands highest court.

This has been a summary of Herb Titus's article: Dr. Herb Titus On Sonia Sotomayor: Measured By The Word Of God And Found Wanting by Herbert W. Titus, J.D.

    God Bless
