Who is displaying their love of freedom?
Great Britain creates a list of people banned from coming into their country. One listed is a radio talk show celebrity, Michael Savage. He is joined on the list of murderers and terrorists. His so called crime is expressing his ideas on the air. I've witnessed him to be an advocate for freedom.
Next, we have the United States revoking visas for some Honduras officials. Their names are Tomás Arita, a Supreme Court justice who signed the detention order that led to Mr. Zelaya’s removal by the military, and José Alfredo Saavedra, president of Congress. There is afoot a desire to squelch the love of freedom in individuals who truly desire to act on their beliefs. Others may just agree or follow along and if the governments target individuals who truly understand and are willing to act on their beliefs we have a major problem. Past governments noted for standing for liberty and justice are now displaying a liking of unscrupulous governments and groups and denying individuals their rights to freedom.
The next example of displaying of their love live in Honduras. Here we have a small and poor nation being oppressed for the action they took against a wanna-be dictator supported by Chevaz in Venezuela. The people involved in Zelaya's deportation were the unanimous vote in the Supreme court, congress and the people of Honduras. Yet Zelaya came crying to the United States because of our socialist values President Obama, oh how our tables have turned. Zelaya has turned in a list of names for Pres. Obama to take political aim against. These people stood against the tyranny of government officials, i.e. their president, desiring to unconstitutionally take control of a free people in Honduras and lead their country to a dictatorship.
The final example I chose are the two representatives from congress who actually went to Honduras and visited the issues in person. They have a report back to Washington scolding our position of supporting Zelaya. The people of Honduras are shocked by the U.S. supporting of Zelaya. I also just recently read and want to include my support of Senator DeMint who also supports freedom by actually doing something which is a dangerous thing to do now days.
I'm thinking that Obama wants to teach the people of Honduras a lesson for their stance against tyranny in the 80's and now. Pray that Obama would be so humble as to turn his favor towards freedom and against Zelaya. We as a nation seem to be able to claim liberty but do we really promote it in other nations? Only by our examples and respect for independence and national Sovereignty will we truly support freedom for other nations.
Just think, while we were celebrating Independence Day, we as a nation were oppressing Hondurans, and continue to do so. So who is loving freedom more? You decide and take action.
Have a blessed day.
