Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are two more government failures causing us great harm. Bush just made it a larger issue by bailing it out. Our thanks has to go to Unconstitutional Pres. Bush. Ignorance is no excuse!!!

Because of these two GSE (Government Sponsored Enterprises) your fanny and my fanny are in the sling for over 200 Billion dollars of mortgage bailouts. You and I are now in the mortgage business. Hows it feel?

The person who had predicted that this would happen was Ron Paul.

We had an opportunity to choose a man/candidate with such economic knowledge and Constitutional awareness that I just can't believe that so many "Americans" couldn't see his value. Yes, the MSM and "conservative" pundits such as Gary Bauer, Medved, Savage, Ingrahm, the list goes on, did their job in orchestrating smears with misinformation and/or disinformation. Now we're about to elect McCain who admits he's stupid when it comes to the economy (or worse Obama). People this nation needed someone with this knowledge or better yet a respect for the Constitution. Neither one of the two major candidates have the respect of the Constitution which now would help us the most. McCain, Obama, nor Huck-a-bee have this understanding. I say Huckabee too because there are so many out there yet dreaming of him in the office, gag. Feelings lead to bad decisions.

The candidates in the primary most endowed in the Constitution and Economics were Mitt'nFlip and Ron Paul. The evangelical voters still enchanted with guitar plucking Huckabe would have stuck us with a joking ex-pastor as president thinking he would be in charge of tithes and taxes, not knowing the differences of the purposes between the two.

Did you enjoy the Democratic Convention speakers? Of course NOT!! Are you looking forward towards more stilted stage appearances of Obama's wife and kids? I didn't think so. With no tele-prompter present he's literally "speechless". After his wife's speech, he was unable to lead during a one minute stage sharing event with his wife and kids.

Wake up America! The freedoms we enjoy will be no more and if you desire your posterity to be able to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness then remember the debates with Ron Paul. Search for the persons who can stand for these principles. I'm looking forward to supporting Ron Paul's big event coming this weekend. So, why not support those who fight for our Constitution and your freedoms? What better love for your fellow citizen can there be? I know, let me correct myself,  John 15:13 "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."

But let us not be fooled, there is no freedom with out Christ in one's life. Let there be no mistake. The idea of a candidate saving this nation will not happen. It will be by His grace that we as a people repent and turn towards the righteousness of the one and only true God.

How truthful is God's word being fed to you and your family? Is it the Social Gospel? Or, the "emergent church"? How about the line "good deeds, not creeds"?

I've place the blame of this nation's falling away from its core principles upon the churches. Time and time again we have evidences of the Law of God being watered down with the so called "Social Gospel" to the point of it being ignored or substituted with wicked humanist thought and state mandated solutions.

Are we going to learn what battles we are in? Do we even know where these battles are taking place? Many of us will sit in our very own churches (Obama could be one of the most blatant examples) and not understand what is being fed to us.

Ephesians 6:12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." In the beginning of v.14 God tells us the first armor we are to put upon ourselves to use against these powers, "Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth,"

We should realize the tools being used "against" our nation for they are lies and deceit. When I had read the following quote I simply thought how true it is and then how diabolical of a plan it really is.

Apparently church leaders mostly pushing this "Social Gospel" are Evangelicals who are hoping believers still feeding upon the "milk" of God's word also will not know church history. Otherwise there should be a recognizing of the Social Gospel continuing to echo falsehoods from the pulpits.

According to God's word we are suppose to be aware and ready for such deceit. He tells us in Ephesians 4:14;"that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth"

or how about...

Romans 16:17,18: "Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.

It all boils down to truth....

1. Is your pulpit preaching the truth?
2. We are being deceived by lies and deceit.
3. Our first armor against spiritual wickedness is TRUTH!
4. Our doctrines are suppose to be TRUTH so that we all may come together in UNITY!
5. We are to be speaking the TRUTH!

God has made it so very important. Isn't truth interesting and wonderful? Why did Jesus come into this world? He states before Pilate the reason he came into the world....

"for this cause came I into the world, THAT I SHOULD BEAR WITNESS UNTO THE TRUTH! John 18:37.

Woe, unto those who speak not the truth from the pulpits in the visible church of this great nation.

Lets see, when we have a loved one who is lying sick and dying in bed what are we going to do? We know that we need to do the right thing. This nation is dying, it's freedoms are being threatened by political hacks. We should be just as concerned about our choice of elected officials as we are with our choice of doctors as if it were ourselves or our loved one lying there dying. I'm not going so far to say that the president is THE solution, but the right person elected would "indicate" to me that things are possibly turning around.

So, what is the right thing to do? I'm angry at the concerns people have about the economy and their future. Why is it now we're so concerned and have decided on candidates neither of which have any idea of how to solve the problem. Ron Paul had been trying to inform us of the direction this nation is heading and many scoffed at him and ignored him, Fox moderators even chastised him. Yet, I remember at the NH debates in January a question was asked of all the candidates and it was the true Dr. Ron Paul who was the only one to raise his hand to answer. Why are we not listening?

A vote for Dr. McCain will be similar to giving us a cold compress for what is ailing us. It makes us comfortable for a while but we're going to simply die while seeking comfort and not a cure.

A vote for the quack Dr. Obama is definitely in the wrong direction. His socialist/fascist remedy for this coming winter's high heating bills is a $1000 dollar handout check for everyone stoking a furnace this winter. Where does this money come from? It will come from a government imposed "windfall tax" upon the U.S. Oil companies which will further diminish their competitiveness in the world market. This is a solution? Taxing corporations is the same as taxing the people, we end up paying the tax! His isolated taxation upon an industry is just as unconstitutional as the handout to only a select few. Come on people wake up and take your medicine!!! Obama is a quack and a hack! Neither is McCain an antidote which will remedy this nation's pain. We needed a real doctor and "We the People" have done ourselves in by knocking on the doors of a couple failed HMO's.

The real doctor is still available. The solution is possibly at the Republican convention or at least just down the road. The problem is the heart of the people. We are not seeing the true solution because of our fever to vote money into our own pockets or go to war. This fever has clouded or hampered our discernment.

How is the market doing? Unemployment is up. Where are your kids getting their next job? Did those next jobs exit the country? Are their personal skills being honed at the government schools? Or, are they instead being sat down and made to be compliant to the social concerns of our day by federal government mandates?

There are other solutions if we all would see that they are solutions and not extreme ideas which the MSM wants you to perceive them to be. To those who say a vote for Ron Paul or another third party person is a vote in favor of Obama, I say vote for a true solution otherwise your vote is taking us down the same old "dead" end road. If the Ron Paul solution fails at the convention there still is another solution.

Vote for the Constitution by voting for someone who understands it, will obey it and NOT destroy it.

The real solution, is to really look at our own hearts and repent of our waywardness of standards. We as a nation will fall if we remain so divided. Without the word of God dwelling on our hearts, souls and minds the laws in our own hearts are based now upon what is perceived right in each of our own eyes. Let us instead unite with Christ and seek Him first. We cannot save ourselves from wolves if we cannot without God's grace discern them even being within our own hearts, Jeremiah 17:9,10.

God, please have mercy upon this once great nation and grant us thy grace for We the People have fallen away and are about to choose from two individuals unworthy to be leaders.

These U.S. Senators are heroes for voting against the $50 Billion bill to authorize appropriations for fiscal years 2009 through 2013. This bill will provide assistance to foreign countries in combating HIV AIDS,
tuberculosis, malaria, and for other purposes. (Bush's Global HIV/Aids bill...on the rise)

The U.S. Senators who are heroes last night are as follows: Allard (R-CO), Barrasso (R-WY), Bunning
(R-KY), Cornyn (R-TX), Craig (R-ID), Crapo (R-ID), DeMint (R-SC),
Ensign (R-NV), Graham (R-SC), Gregg (R-NH), Hutchison (R-TX), Inhofe
(R-OK),  Kyl (R-AZ), Sessions (R-AL), Vitter (R-LA), and Wicker (R-MS). (Where is McCain you ask?)

Senator Demint and others sought to be frugal and responsible with U.S. Citizen's tax dollars. Parts of their amendments were to reduce the cost of the bill which had been tripled from it's original amount of $15 Billion. They also sought to put in place actions to insure the money was not used to assist nations not needing the money or were using it for abortion such as China does in their one woman one child mandates. Explain to me why we are allowing money for Russia or China health programs? This is not Constitutional!

This bill's nay sayers are heroes for "attempting" what the Republican party WAS most noted for doing in the past (distant) and that was preserving life and freedom and costs. Apparently not any more than 16 Senators in the whole bunch desire to do so. Oh!, Obama and (pro life) McCain were not there to vote. McCain's vote was assumed to be in favor any way. So much for his Pro Life leadership. Maybe the House version will fail and reach no compromise, lets hope so.

These bills are un-Constitutional, it's not their money to give away. But, I'm sure that people such as Obama feel good about giving our taxpayer's money away for these save the world programs. After all, Obama really only recently found out what giving personal money to charities is really like and so helping others now give to others is Obama's way of feeling much better about his own failures in giving.

Don't stain your vote, don't lower your expectations of others in order to be able to cast your vote. There are others more worthy!

Where is ANWR anyway? Do all the Obama supporters know where it is? Seeing that so many people are against drilling there for oil, please tell me why are they?

Maybe its because many are deceived? No, that can't be, Obama supporters would never be deceived. Right? Wrong! They are deceived and falling for the rhetoric of the same old liberal again, again and again. Tell me I'm wrong. Tell me again why should we support or vote for Obama?

Lets start our claim of independence not only from foreign oil but also from those who seek to deceive us, the politicians of today!

We have to pass on the freedoms we enjoy to our youth by INSTRUCTING them for they who know it not.

We have to protect our freedoms from people who seek to destroy us by at least taking a stand and saying something. Speak the truth.

What are you all preparing for food this weekend?

I've found an Elk kebab recipe in the newspaper which sounded real good. I'll have to substitute the Elk with some tenderloin, no elk in the freezer last I checked.  The kids always wanted to try kebabs probably because they enjoy food on a stick. I've never prepared them before.

So, anyway the marinade is what got me interested in this (let us know if you have a favorite marinade). 

1/2 cup brandy
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons prepared mustard
1/4 cup ketchup

Mix well and drown meat in sauce refrigerated for 24 hours.

The recipe for preparing kabobs on the grill called for grape seed oil applied every couple minutes. This oil is suppose to have a nutty flavor and a high smoking temperature. I don't know how much oil they can get out of a grape seed which makes me want to guess that the grape oil may be too expensive, but we'll check it out.

That's the special meal for the family.

All the kids were out to night while Lucy and I were home with stuffed pork chops and corn on the cob and a singing wren at the patio door.

The presidential campaigns are on their way to the conventions.  Please post and explain the reason people will vote for Obama.

Many think that voting for Obama will bring an increase of liberal socialism into this country and our lives. It will be immediate and have an impact for a very long time pending the congressional election in the fall. Republicans must defend about twenty seats, while the Democrats need only to be rallying around twelve. Special election outcomes in early 2008 may indicate a gain for the Democrates.  Still, other voters believe that McCain also will just bring in more socialism yet at a lesser degree.

So, tell me, if a free nation gets poisoned by socialism slowly or quickly what is the end result with either of these men in office? Is this really our only selection? Is it too late for someone else?

We're going to become a God and Constitution forsaking socialistic country. What does that mean to you?
